On my last trip to Japan, traveling the Kan-etsu highway from Fukui to Tokyo, we stopped at Yokokawa Service Area. That location is home of Oginoya's Kamameshi Bento. I had it about 15years ago. It was as tasty as it was when I had it years ago. They have half of the train flipped to an eating space. It is a fun idea, but I would just put a whole train and let those old ladies sell the kamameshi through the train windows like they used to sell back in 50's.
前回の帰郷時、福井からの帰りは車だったので横川サービスエリアで休憩して１５年ぶり位でおぎのやの峠の釜飯を食てみました。味は変わらず記憶通り。電車型のテーブル席がなかなかいい感じ、でもどうせならまるまる一車両そのまま使って当時の様におばちゃん達が窓から売れば良いのにとか思いつつ完食♪
